The Arbor Axis Bamboo construction is a blend of Canadian Maple and bamboo, the world's most sustainable building material. Arbor has included bamboo in longboard construction for many years now. Bamboo completely regenerates itself in 4 weeks which makes it one of the most eco friendly and sustainable products on the planet. Bamboo is incredibly strong, yet flexible and easy to shape. The addition of bamboo as a deck side power-ply, Arbor has created a hybrid maple construction that has a clean Zen flavor with nice return and long lasting durability. The Axis top sheet is bamboo covered in a recycled glass clear grip tape that lets the beauty of the bamboo grain shine through.
Artist Spotlight:
Born in Sydney, Nanami Cowdroy's artistic roots reflect both her native Australian and mixed Japanese-European
heritage. Nanami's blend of complex characters and highly detailed objects create a juxtaposition of the foreign and familiar. Her subjects are organic, yet exude a strength and depth; the perfect combination for Arbor longboarding's bamboo designs.
